All About the KS1 Resourced Provision

Horton Park Academy has a KS1 Resourced Provision classroom for children with EHCPs. We are very proud of the unit and the provision we are able to offer. The RP focuses on individualized, child-led learning which takes place in a resource-rich, inclusive environment and gives children irresistible opportunities to engage and learn. This enables the children to make excellent progress based on their EHCP targets.

We are based at Canterbury Nursery School, which is only a short walk from Horton Park, and throughout the year take advantage of many opportunities for inclusion including:

We also have access to our own sensory room and soft play area on the Canterbury site, giving the children chance to take advantage of a varied environment. Much of our learning takes place outdoors, and the children absolutely love to explore and experience the changing seasons and weather. Whatever we do we are always learning, and however the children engage and learn best is the route the staff follow too. Their needs are at the heart of all we do.
